First time parts failure.

Hi all. Just had a parts failure in my NPM. The top of the ring on the hammer spring plunger broke off and blocked my safety from engaging. I probably have put 4 to maybe 500 rounds through it. I have had extractors and various springs fail but this is the first time for the hammer spring plunger failing. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. Don't know if it was a USGI part or not.

I've never even heard of that particular failure before! Go buy a lottery ticket!

Didn't know this was something new to carbine owners/shooters. Who knows...a weak piece of steel? Can't say that I am honored to have the first problem of this kind. Always something.
