I should think so too...but it's not one of the early "Duck hunter" uniform parts is it? Like really early RVN?

No markings inside. but the cap is old. there are markings on the back of the snap. I will have to find a spy glass to see. The camo matches what i've seen as ARVN Advisor's Camo Bush Hat Boonie on e-bay. One there now.

Malaysian or Singapore?

Maybe even Indon. saw lots of them when I wore a green suit but didn't pay that much attention to hats, just the faces under them.
