Hi guies, i have a new rifle 1919 carl gustafs stads gevärsfaktori. The bolt was turned to far now ho to back it up so it can be reinstalled in rifle. (the safty end turned to right on click and is locked up that is) I have seen a video about this problem but can not find it now. Any help would be appricated
Try holding the bolt in a vise with leather padding and try to rotate the safety it to the left, which may take some effort. The safety must be turned all the way to the left to rotate the cocking piece to the proper position. If that doesn't work You can assist this by putting a block of wood in a vise,. firmly grasp the forward end of the bolt with one hand and hook the cocking piece over the block of wood. Pull the bolt towards you while at the same time trying to flip the safety lever to the other side. This will allow the firing pin assembly to move back slight until you find the "sweet spot" and allow you to flip the safety to the left. When you get the safety back to the left you can use the block of wood to stretch the firing pin assembly out to where you can rotate the cocking piece into the right position. Salt Flat
