USN MK1 Machete

I found this a few weeks ago, never saw one this long before. It's in a spare barrel bag which it fits in perfectly. Found a scabbard I thought was for it but it wasn't thus the other MK2 post.

I have one of those I procured in Ft Wainwright AK in January 1975... Mine is in the scabbard though. We used to see machetes sold in .30 cal barrel cases years back here in surplus or FW Woolworth stores.
