Accumounts repro no.32

Has anyone had any experience with the no.32 mki clones you can get from Accumounts? They tell me they aren’t made in China, and are a bit better quality than RSM.

Has anyone here actually owned/used one, or even better, had one apart for a looksie?

I can’t ascertain that it’s the same product that is or was available from numrich or not. I’d like to know if there is a decent quality no32 clone out there that’s worth owning (short of finding and restoring a real one). My RSM mkiii has issues and looking for alternatives.

The 32 mounts made in India are HORRIBLE!!!
Some of the Chinese mounts are very good, but it depends from which maker. There are several makers.
I have rebuilt a number of the RSM scopes (Mk.1/2 and 3) and what seems to be your problem ???
If out of focus you have a problem, but if just the adjustments are mushy and not positive, that can be corrected.

The main issue with my mkiii is an issue of mismatched ocular lenses - so Peter laidler tells me. If my sight alignment is off by an absurdly small amount, if I’m to the left or right by the tiniest amount, the image blurs. Also Im at the very bottom of my adjustment and am still about 20moa too high. The rifle itself is an original T (bought as a barrelled receiver with its original pads only). But I don’t think that’s an issue of the scope. I don’t know how to overcome the latter issue. It was shooting right when I got it, but I found a new old stock stock that I’ve put to it. Gunsmith fitted with front bearing of course.

Also one last small issue is the the rear ring on the mount covers a portion of the writing because they couldn’t be bothered to position correctly. Just grinds on my nerves every time i look at it… why can’t people just do things right. Drives me crazy.

I have an RSM and an acu mounts scope the accu mounts scope I have been told by them is made in eastern europe somewhere, both are not a patch on an original thats been rebuilt, the focus adjustment on the originals are a threaded drum/tube that you turn to focus the scope, the rsm and eastern european scopes are both silicon sealer glued in place and you need to remove part of it to focus both types of scope, the optics are clearer on the eastern european scope and the finish is better and the mounting pads are miles ahead in quality. this has been my findings on both, I am sure the peter would have lots more knowledge on both

Interesting. I was able to focus my mkiii (to a certain degree) by removing that top panel on the main tube, and sliding that threaded gadget inside either forward or back. What Mk was your RSM? I think my mkiii is one of their first gen2 models of it, and they’re still trying to get it to be usable.

I’ve ordered Peter laidlers book on no32 scopes, because I want to get to the very bottom of this. Naturally my next step should be to find an original I think. If anyones got one they want to part with (any mark model) send me a pm.

I have an rsm 2014 marked MkII Scope and rsm mount, on non RMS pads, it shoots Very well and holds zero. I understand the rsm pads are too thin.

The scope is less ‘bright’ than my originals but optically has very slightly greater magnification.

Cheers mate, I did hear the no.32 mkii they got right, and I did have the chance to go with one instead of holding out for my mkiii, but the external finish on the tube looked as if it had been turned down on the lathe with a broken bottle. I couldn’t believe they’d actually put their brand name on it looking like that. Is yours ok in that regard?
