Hi all,
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many privately owned integrally suppressed barrel kits for the AI PM/L96 there are in private hands? I only know of one currently, they certainly aren't common.

Outside of private hands I know the Royal Armouries and the Small Arms School Collection in Warminster both have one but those are the only others I know of, it could be safe to assume that the defence academy at Shrivenham might have one too.
Nobody really knows how many L96/PM's in any variant are in public hands.

You can't even get a staright answer about ENFORCERS with Police Forces, they haven't got a skuby!!
And, when I did an FoI request to the various forces, one came back and said they had all been guillotined as they could not sell them to civilians.Quote:

Yes true..................so you imagine what the Military is like............a lot lot worse on accountability, just visit the Withams DV MOD sales site, and see the new stuff being sold off including aircrew watches, alledgedly "STARRED" items where a hammer has to go through them after Military service....absolute ROLLOCKS!!

Alan, I'm reminded that Ruddington had rows of 1 ton armoured Humber's (Pigs to many of us!) in 1970 that were quietly bought back into service by the MOD for internal security use in Northern Ireland. We also used them for the School of Artillery at Larkhill as OP vehicles, these disappeared overnight and were replaced by Land Rovers the next day.Quote:
