I recently purchased “A History Of The Small Arms Made By The Sterling Armament Company” and though I haven’t been able to sit down and really read the book, I am impressed. Very well done with great insight into procurement practices of the British Government, etc.
Thanks to a certain person who is one of the authors that might be lurking around here. ;)
Interesting that there was no reference to Sandy Cormack who was certainly working at Sterling at the time..! Sandy was a prolific contributor to the Profile series of publications in past decades!
.. but yes. The UK Civil service antipathy to the arms trade goes back a long way!
