The two guys on the left could probably find a better position.
Not as bad as the later 106mm Recoilless... ran a range for it once, the standard show for visitors was to pile empty ammo boxes 20 yards behind it, fire the gun --- a cloud of splinters!

My first assignment was a Mortar Platoon (OK, Weapons Platoon)... adjusting mortar fire was like the greatest video game ever :)
