A friend found this at a garage sale last weekend and passed it on to me.
1920 dated No1 Mk III receiver ,nose cap,& stock SNs match bolt unmarked. SN correct for the date.
It is a J Jovino import but does not appear to be a bitster.

Nice rifle of an inter war year Lithgow, I've a '21 that has in the white fore end practically unfired by the original owner & the gunsmith I bought it off came with a serialized to it 1921 Lithgow '07 & 1921 Lithgow Dble stitched scabbard.
Mine is similarly marked though no FTR markings. I think yours wins the beauty contest. Very nice. Love the lumber on the Lithgows.
Tomorrow, after two weeks sick, I wanted to go shoot my loved No.1 MkIII* at 200 meters, but it’s been raining hard for 10 days and the range is a complete swamp…
So… I’ll take the same rifle, but in the trainer version at 25 meters:D
Just great rifles!
Should be able to drill out that 10 ring at 25m Ovidio we had them in the cadets they were very accurate AIR.
First 10 shots with new ammo.
Not yet zeroed, just looking for the grouping.
