9/20/24 - This is a rare, very early Springfield Armory M1 Garand from 1938 with some Gas Trap components remaining. This rifle has some of these aspects, but is at least a partial restoration by Gene Barnett of Match Service Works. The receiver finish is original but the gas trap components and barrel appear to be refinished. The barrel is seemingly unmarked entirely, and has an excellent bore.
