F35 down

Apparently an A model not a vert take off model like it's coming down flat no forward momentum so something big as occurred apparently he was on finals as you can see the landing gear.

Pilot is safe apparently but I've heard banging out is not a very nice occurrence, the plane well it's toast but Trump will order it to be repaired ! :lol::lol::lol:

Yes, there have been a few crashes of operational F35 aircraft due to varied causes: landing gear failure, fuel line problem, blanking plug left in intake, combination of oxygen system/unfamiliarity with aircraft/malfunctioning HUD, and unknown loss of control. It's a complex aircraft but not experiencing a higher loss ratio than many military aircraft that came before it, remember the Starfighter? A joke making the rounds during the Cold War was that if you want to get a used Starfighter all you needed to do was to buy land in Germany. The Kestrel/Harrier had a rocky development period before it became an excellent combat aircraft after all the bugs were worked out.

Starfighter = strapping a rocket to the pilot I seriously think it's glide ratio would have been like a helicopters "A brick".

From a friend who is in the know on all things F-35: Landing gear fault, and when he pulled up to go around, his wingman's jet wash overwhelmed the pitot static system, causing a pilot-induced oscillation (PIO) and then a stall. They are saying that's a pilot error.
