"Pennsylvanians, your 'assault weapons' jam and are no good for home defence"
from CNBC World News:
Gun and ammunition sales have been spiking, partly due to fears President Obama will reinstate a federal ban on assault weapons, but the weapons aren't practical for home protection, a state governor said.
"It’s nuts for ordinary citizens to go out and buy assault weapons," Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., told CNBC. "Assault weapons are difficult to operate, they jam easily. If you want a gun to protect your home it’s the last thing you should have."
Rendell, who has been a vocal supporter of reinstating the ban on assault weapons, which expired in 2004, says federal and state lawmakers must stand against the gun lobby and support reinstating the ban.
"These weapons have one purpose," added Rendell. "...They’re to kill and to maim, and they shouldn’t be in the hands of anyone else but the police and the military."
They deliberately tag any weapon they don't like as an "assault weapon"
I'm sure they know the difference.
Their comments are designed to pursuade those who don't know about guns. It's the way to try to arouse fears among non gun-owners by throwing the term "assault" on any weapon they want to ban.
That's how the left controls the masses; deceit!
We cannot afford to "get used to it" or we'll lose. We better challenge them each and every time, including the news papers in our cities, towns, villages, hamlets and suburbs.
Your editor should be used to hearing from you; "I just want to point out a significant factual error in that news item you just ran where you quoted that great azzhole..."
Well, don't put it that way, but you get the idea.
If these news people begin to realize that we'll jump on them every time they display such ignorance, it could do some good.
Just think "stubborn mule + "whack with a plank" = attentive mule.
