N.S. bolt

What month/year did N.S.(with periods) bolts first appear? Thanks

My NRA sporter is from 4-30 it has NS with no periods. My 1903A1 with matching number bolt is from 11-30 and it has a N.S. marked bolt. Hope that helps. Regards, Tom
