Anyone ever try one of these? Assume it would eject every time you pull back the bolt, prob need to do that to load the round, could be tedious I imagine. Could it hurt a rifle?

An article in Shotgun News mentioned .32ACP inserts. The writer said that accuracy from his 03A3 at 50 yds was non existant and one bullet got stuck 2/3rds of the way down the barrel. Apparently the round just doesn't have enough oomph to overcome the friction of a long barrel and make it to the target.
some are rechambering the 32 ACP inserts to 32 S&W long, best were the old Marble inserts where the cartridge went all the way into the neck of the insert
Now that's an idea! I've got several hundred .32SW long cases around. An adapter in .32 long in a .303 might be the ticket for 25 yard ranges.
There are a few places you can rent out a reamer, I used a place in Florida for a 22 Hornet reamer a few years ago. It is better than buying the reamer just for one job ot two.
I picked up a Marbles .32 acp adapter about 40 years ago to use in my '03 Springfield. I was not too impressed. It caused bulges around the base of the ctg. but it was good for plinking squirrels in the back yard and that was about all.
Then about 10 or 12 years ago I found an advertisement for a guy in Ak. who makes all manner of chamber inserts and bore sleeves.
I bought a 30.06 to.30 Carbine adapter first and was very pleased with how it worked. It's louder than the .32 acp type of course.
Next I picked up a 30/40 to .30 Carbine to use in my old Krag. Now I have several different types.
The .30.rifle to .30 Carb. type is h#ll on Woodchucks and such out to about 200 yds. which is the limit for my old eyes and a little cheaper o shoot.

I hope this is helpful to someone.

This could work IF you handloaded the .32 S&W Long cases with .308 bullets. IIRC the nominal diameter of .32 S&W Long is .312 or so. The .32 ACP (or 7.65 Browning, et al) is .308. If the drag is too much for a .32 ACP to make it out of a 03A3 barrel, using an oversize bullet would only make it worse.
BTW, I read the Shotgun News writeup and remember wondering at the time if this wasn't an ammo problem of some sort.
Over 20 years ago I bought the '06/.32 ACP insert. No function problems using factory ammo. But accuracy was nonexistent. I suspect he rifle twist rate is all wrong for the little pistol. It is kinda like shooting the .22LR in a AR, it just don't work right.
With the price of 32acp so high. What is the purpose or gain?
