interesting safety
Picked-up a box of 1903 parts, alot of triggers, sears, sight leafs and a few safeties. I found one without the groove on top and it fit into a 1903 bolt
sleeve. It is marked SAFE and READY, I thought it might be for the Krag but was told the Krag safety was not marked. You would have to modify the firing pin so that this safety would function. The early ram rod bayoney rifles also appear to use this safety too ?

The safety lock appears to be one from a Sedgley Ersatz rifle.
The early rod bayonet safety lock was scalloped on both sides and had no spring-loaded plunger.
