Look for the link "1937 Pattern - WWII British Webbing Set" and it will describe the set in detail. Ammunition was carried in the utility pouches, it could be kept in the bandoliers and the bandoliers neatly folded in to the pouches or it could be loaded in the pouches in the individual chargers.
As far as the bayonets for the No.4 being dated, no, they were not.
Out of curiosity, what are the "leg drop 3 pockets" that you mention?
If you're looking for the bandoliers, they can be found on ebay, but i fear that the great majority of them have been snatched by "tusken raider" (star wars) re-enactors... what a waste.

If memory serves that is what the characters used.

Yea, im gona venture a guess that the 2$ ones are the canvas fabric ones, not the leather ones which fetch a much higher price....they do play dress up with the 1905 style leather bandoleers
Being that he asked about "No4 bandoleers" I don't think that he was looking for the leather 5 pcket models.
I've seen leather, 5 pocket models in both black and brown colors at gun shows go for $150 in VG-EXC condition.
The leather 50 round pattern 1903 MkII was manufactured and used by the South African Forces during WW2 so that qualifies for "No.4 era"
