Need info on this 1911

I saw this on Gun Broker and the frame looks funny to me. What do you guys think

Looks to me like it is a 1950's era .38 Super frame.

i was thinking .38 or 9MM. and reblue as well.

The reblue was a demi-derriere attempt to cover up the pitting, still visible on the grip safety & edge of the receiver.

If it is reblued, the guy knew what he was doing. The edges are still razor sharp, the serial number has not been buffed, and the matte areas are correct. The rust on the grip safety looks fresh and not refinished over.
I don't believe Colt had a 9mm Government Model until the 70 series, so the frame is Super .38. The slide assembly is probably laying in a drawer somewhere.

I also think the blue is original. It's a 38 Super frame made during 1950. The slides and frames of those era were high polish on the sides with matte finish on the top of the slide and back and front of the grip area of the slide. If it is a refinish, as already noted by JP, it's a very good job in preserving the lettering and numbering and the sharp edges. I think it's the rather poor pictures that are throwing you. The rust on the grip safety area needs to be attended to or will cause pitting if it hasn't already.

could be, thought i saw blued pitting on the grip safety.
a strip and dip, would all you would need, to not, round the edges, letters ect.
