I have an IHC screw with a cracked valve face and would like to salvage it by swapping a servicable valve from another screw. I realize that these were replaced as a complete assembly, but is there any way to dis-assemble/re-assemble a lock screw?

I believe that the poppet (valve) stem is swaged over after the spring is installed, though I've never had one apart myself. Not sure how you'd save the replacement poppet enough to reswage it, but I suppose it's possible. Might it be possible to weld or braze the valve face and refinish it instead? Personally, I think you'd be better off getting a new valve. just my $0.02
I agree it would be better to obtain a new screw
