I was StevieC on Culver's page, but I grew up some and am now just SteveC. Looking forward to intellectual exchanges with you all!
Hi guys. I have just registered here, and want to do an introductory post. I am an M1 collector, and specialize in postwar rifles. I am currently working on a book on the International Harvester, and hope to bring it out this year. If anyone has any questions on IHCs, HRAs, or postwar SAs, shoot me an email, and I will do my best to answer your question. Happy collecting.
I just hope I can still check out the garand pic of the day.
Just made the trip over here, I hope. Home of thousands and a few old sore
heads. Regards

new to this board but used CSP regularly. Own 10 garands, 2 1903's, 1 carbine, and 1 mossberg 44US. along with several con. carry pistols. won't be satisfied until I own a nice original M1C and a HK 91. I am sure this forum will be as enlightening and helpful as the old CSP. Glad to be aboard.
Hi, guys. I made it over from the old forum. I look forward to learning new stuff from you all.
Just came over from CSP, looks interesting here!
Thank you to the Major & Ms. Gloria, for what they have done!

Wow! Wonderful surprise! The updated and renewed format of this new site is much appreciated.
Tried logging in with the old user ID and password but it didn't quite work. Figured it to be easier to start out with an all new moniker.
May the Jouster board live long! Thank you again to the Culvers!!!

I am a new member here. I like to the military rifles and have a few. Hello to the forum

A refugee from the old CSP site and I appreciate this SPAMLESS site. I collect mainly M1903 Springfields/Rock Islands/Remingtons/Smith-Coronas but a few M1 Garands and M1 Carbines have followed me home since I found out about the CMP.
Learning this new forum...looks nice!
As we say down here, Hey everyone. I've been a member over at CSP for years and I'm happy to be here now...how did I miss this site in the first place? I am of British heritage on both sides of my family so I have a soft spot for Enfields...
Actually, my user name should read, Critch-SwampEast, MO, but I'll have a moderator fix it later or just shorten it to Critch, which is the first syllable of my last name.
Glad to be here, just trying to get started. I'll be looking around to see what is available.
I post as thorin6 on all the boards I'm registered to. Thorin is our cat, and the number Six refers to the old way of designating the commander (i.e., B6 was the Bravo Company Commander). Basically I'm the commander of the cats (i.e., more than one), although anyone who has ever owned a cat knows that herding cats is not a job for the faint of heart.
Also, I used to jump out of airplanes, and there is no such thing as a "perfectly good airplane."
Regards.
HI, I'm Bill Hughes

Hello everyone,
I just registered from the old Culver's site where I was known as Dave Nivison. While I was sometimes controversial I look forward to this site being as enjoyable. I'm a retiree currently Wintering in AZ but from that despicable state of NY. I enjoy competitive handgunning, my M-1, reloading, anything outdoors, and amateur radio. I am a Destroyer veteran. Bon Voyage!
Hi, M1 shooter, collector, and GCA member for 14 years. Still have a lot to learn.
Hi folks, John Richardson checking in, usually I post under "Diamondtreo" - another sigh of relief for spam control. I have been hobby gunsmithing since the late 1970's after earning a degree in gunsmithing from Oregon Institute of Technology. Since then, I continued education & have worked at designing and manufacturing the toys our military flies (F-22 Raptor these days). I started collecting M1 Garands about 5 years ago & now count 10 in my safes - including my first goal, one from all 4 manufacturers. I have been fortunate enough to make one pilgramage to Port Clinton Ohio, to visit the Camp Perry North CMP facility. All of my rifles are shooters, although I have not tried M1 Garand competition yet - I shoot better with my 1903 Springfield. Six of my Garands have come from the CMP, one I pieced together from parts & the other three were private purchases.
I like the exchange of information that goes on in these forums & hope that all the guys on the Culver's page make the transaction. I sure have learned a lot from reading these postings! John
Just swam over with some of the other folks from CSP. Thanks for having us. I am 67, retired, happily married living in Idaho. Born in Xenia, Ohio, I know, where the hell is that ? Fours Navy, '60-'64. Like guns, knives, and metal detecting. Looking forward to a great sight.

Glad to be here and appreciate the opportunity. Got my first M-1 Carbine in 1959 and have loved them ever since.

Hello all
I'm a new member, been a follower on CSP for a good while but now it is going away. Hope to gain some new friends an knowledge on this site.
Greetings all. I am a long time procurer and user of the detritus and debris of other peoples wars, to include Martini Henry, Ross, Carcano, Webley, Arisaka and Nambu in very sorry to very presentable condition. I have handloaded for all since the middle 1970's. I have been reading your wonderful threads for some time and thought it was time to contribute as well as learn.
Well, as seems to be the trend, another orphan from Culver's CSP site checking in. Looking forward to spam-free reading and new information about our beloved M1s and M14s!

Hello All- I am a refugee from Jouster. Our friends on the left have purposely destroyed my favorite Web destination, so I have taken cover here. I always considered this board to be too convoluted to play with, but I will learn the language and the streets here. I am a professional pilot who has been playing with guns since my dad gave me a .410 at age nine. Retired U.S. Army and Air Force officer with three tours in harm's way. Hobby machinist/welder who loves to build or repair stuff. Two sons and two grandsons who enjoy shooting as much as I do. Hunter and fisherman who is concerned that the culture and government seem to think that we are out-dated, and worse, a threat to civilization. I will be here every day, and look forward to learning/sharing with the members. Regards, Clark
Hello... I am a 77 year old gun enthusiast and competitive shooter. My best days were long ago but I still enjoy the sport and the people. I shoot NRA HP silhouette in the warmer months and indoor 50' smallbore rifle in the winter. Have been a member of CSP for sometime and enjoy the benefit of Dick and Gloria's Jouster. Thank you both and I pray that old age sits well on your frames. God Bless!
Hello.. I'm Tom in N.J. Old guy that still tries to learn. I've been into military firearms for over 50 years. Some C&R eligible firearms were new back then!..

Hi, I am new over from Culver's Shooting Page, only been collecting for a couple years.
Hello to everyone. I'm new to this site but I've been collecting American military weapons and equipment for about 20 years. I'm new to Krags and Trapdoors, so I'll probably ask a lot of stupid questions. I was a "lurker" at Jouster and I really enjoyed everyon's posts there. Thanks for reading.
Rick

Hello, I collect military weapon's and equip. can't get enough, Retired military E-9.

I'm a refugee from CSP's 2nd Amendment forum.
I'm 10 years older than dirt. A WW2 USMC 1st Division vet. A Life Member of the NRA, DAV, VFW, Texas State Rifle Assn and The Military Order of the Purple Heart.
I have a CHL & I shoot, among others, 03's, M1's, 1911, 38, 40, 9mm & of course the 22's. Message for the day: Two wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. "One is Evil - *It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
"The other is Good - *It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
Semper fidelis.

I'm here from the CSP boards, so will be hanging my hat here for a while. I mostly hang out on the Carbine forum, but have been known to stray from time to time.
I've got about 30+ years in Class III and US military.
Happy to be here! :super:
Best wishes to Dick & Gloria and thanks to all who made this transition possible!
Greetings All.
Thanks for all of the information shared over the years.
Thanks also to my Dad, who exposed me to the thrill of firing SL-57 in his DCM 03A3 in the mid 1960s.
Hi Everyone,
Moving over from CSP/Jouster.
Best, CR
Hi All, Dave here....
Hello to all the CSP gang. I am looking to continuing the good exchange of information on this site. Thanks to the Culver's for providing a home for our forum for the last 10 years.
As the newest member of this forum, I'll just say that I'm impressed with the quality of the exchanges I've seen. I'm a retired U.S. Army guy (21 years, including Vietnam) and worked as a defense journalist for another 18 years (trips to Bosnia and Iraq, among other places). I recently acquired an Enfield from an even older grunt than me (he brought it to the U.S. after WWII). Now I'm trying to identify the unit indicated on the Regimental I.D. disk: "P.W." The rifle was manufactured by the Birmingham Small Arms Company in 1914 (serial number 107XX): it has the dial sight plate and volley sight. The stock is a beautiful piece of tiger maple, and the rifle is in exceptional condition. Except for a few minor dings on the wood, it shows very little wear. Perhaps "P.W." indicates a ceremonial or home guard unit: the rifle doesn't look as though it has seen much, if any, combat use. Any help in identifying "P.W." would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi folks, just checking in. Been around this game a while. ;)
Hi folks. I like collecting, shooting, bullet casting and reloading. I have been at it for 45 some years but it never gets old.
Hello All.
Found my way here by accident.
