First of all, a big Thank You for giving Culver's Shooting Page a new home! We are a pretty enthusiastic bunch and I think this new partnership will be very mutually beneficial!
I have always been a fan of History, particularly Military History, and a dedicated shooter. I have been a Firearms Instructor for thirty years, and am also a Colt, Remington, and Glock trained Armorer. My personal interests are US and foreign martial arms and their historical aspects, as well as shooting in general. There are artifacts that shaped our world, and are important parts of our heritage. Philosophically I share a lot of the late Col. Jeff Cooper's beliefs, and find that gun people are a lot better at "Duty, Honor, Country" than the rank and file.
Particular Interests are the mighty M1 rifle, the M14/M1A, M1903s and M1917, the 1911 pistol (old and new) and I have a number of foreign weapons I find interesting, to include a GRAS, a battlefield pickup Arisaka 97, a Lee-Enfield, and an original Kline's Sporting Goods Carcano.
Again, thanks, and I look forward to us exchanging info and having fun. CC
Hello all,
I am a new member with interests in collecting British Empire and associated military long arms. I shoot both small and full bore rifles and I am being tempted towards re-loading. Hope we can share our interests and your knowledge. Ronald.
Good Morning: Just getting acquainted with this new forum. Got familiar with the old, and have to get adjusted. As usual, it will take time. Enjoy the banter that takes place amongst shooters and collectors. My computer was down 10 days due to line problems and just got back on clearing up 182 e-mails! I'll keep practicing to get back in track. Carl Majeskey
I collect primarily military weapons and think this page could be useful. Thanks for this opportunity.
This is new to me, I've never registered on a forum before and it may take a
while before I get the hang of this. I fact, this forum is the first one that I have found that meets my intrests. I have been collecting firearms for 45
years, and I have in last few years concentrated and reoriented my collecting
towards Lee Enfields. I would like now, to do some restoration on some of those rifles that have been stripped down for hunting. but it seems like
parts are getting more and more scarce.
Hello to all, I was a regular spender, buyer, and seller on CSP until it disappeared into the sunset. I wanted to let you all know that I am having shootable gastrap front ends produced for those of you with all those low numbered gastrap receivers being auctioned off at the CMP.I will be including in the front end kit one each, gas cylinder, one gas plug, one front sight, the two screws, the front hand guard ferrule and a new gastrap barrel. These are all made to the original 1937 government drawings.I should have finished parts ready to sell by may-june time frame. Please feel free to e-mail me for info and details. Thanks for looking. rhabraham@owc.net
