Hello all. I recently purchased an M1 Garand, figuring out the 5 W's concerning its use. Recently retired Military, Combat Engineer, current DA Civilian.
Hello all. New to milsurps. Have taken an interest in military surplus shooting on a competitive level, so here I am to seek information.
Hi folks. I've always loved milsurp guns, and really, military style and ex-military firearms have always been my strongest area of firearms interest. I build and collect Mosin & AK rifles and now an FAL or two.
But I'll be square.. the main reason I joined is that a member on AR15.com referred me here to get some info on a couple of 03 Springfields that my dad-in-law owns. He's a Nam vet and, and mom-in-law is racking up crazy medical bills.. so he needs to sell a bunch of guns to help her out.
Hopefully, I can get some help on valuing these guns for sale. Thanks very much on behalf of the whole fam. God bless!

New member. Just started collecting rifles a little over half a year ago when I turned 18.
Howdy. My daughter's god father recently picked up a Mosin, and I am suddenly much more interested in milsurp rifles.
I have a No. 4 Mk 1 with stock markings I can't identify.
There is a ZF stamped in and stencilled on the right buttstock.
There is a 1" by 1" square hand painted on the left buttstock.
There is the number 40 hand painted on the underside front end of the forearm.
I hope that someone can identify these marks for me.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer me.
