Hi Bill - The only "INLAND DIV" marking is on the forward barrel above the date stamp. The rear of the receiver is blank as is the forward receiver ring.
I guess it would be odd for a pilot to have a carbine. The part of the story that always intrigued me was that pilot brought home the carbine and a couple of cases of ammo including a bunch of tracers, which the men of the family fired off, much to the delight of all. That was before I was born and I always regretted missing out.
