Can't be an RLB as only the first 35 thou were so stamped and had the grasping groove stock. That said, if it has all Remington parts....no "buts" I wouldn't ask a dime under 1K with a nice bore and the documentation. I am still looking for a follower and buttplate marked cubby cover for my SN 3004295. Finding original Remingtons with no "buts" is real tough these days. Regards, Rick.
Personally, I would list it on Auction Arms, maybe with a $850 (very reasonable) starting price, and if you think it is worth more, make it a reserve style auction, along with the photos you have here, and see what price would prevail. Nothing like letting the market determine the actual value.
BTW, nice looking piece, would like it myself, but my bride would probably use it on me if I bought anything right now.
Sorry Rick, that is incorrect. The Boxed RLB came first, on grasping groove and non grasping groove S stocks, followed by unboxed RLB in two iterations... closely spaced RLB, and widely spaced R L B. RLB stocks can be found as late as 3220000 range, along with boxed Frank J Atwood starting to be observed in that range. I own original rifles from nearly start of production through 3190000 and all have RLB stocks.Quote:
