Hahaha sling on E-Fake

But I have one question for this item.... Regardless of if it is legit or a fake, is the current bid of $9.99 a good price for ANY repro sling to put on a CMP RG that you take to the range? It beats using a string on the rifle....

Bill, you have your legit 1960's slings for $25.00 which is a good price IMHO. If this one goes for $10, then its a good price for dragging around on a shooter.

Maybe this a (hopeful) example of reality setting on the humpers and their repro stuff starting to sell for what its really worth.... Thats the first step to this madness over humping to end.... Market forces have spoken

It is an M8 with the hook added you can not tell if the webbing was replaced or a hook just added. This was a fairly common modification of the M8. If the hook was just added then it could be restored to original configuration but if the webbing is replaced it is now to long for an M8. The price is stupid either way, why would anyone pay that?

There were two variants. The hook added to the short hanger, as you mentioned and the new longer hanger added with the M1910 hook. Once the hook was added, it was designated as M8A1, not M8.
