The rifle a wrapped Faz, the Bayo, and Scab were a gift for my father inlaw.

the cost was 500.00$ cdn for the 2 of them,to much for my wife but reasonable for me.
Indeed. I am stunned at your fortune :) In fact, I will bestow upon you a honour that we Brits seldom give to non-Brits, the title of "lucky bugger" :P
Now, if only I had that kind of luck lol. Someone is selling a No.4 Mk.II 2 1/2 hours drive from me, but they just took it out of the wrap, shot 50 rounds through it, and now wants $650. Errr...I think he's being optimistic lol.
If only I could find a similar source in the US lol. I'll just have to hunt the local pawnshops, gunshops and gun shows then, one day, I might be the proud owner of a still-wrapped No.4 Mk.II - but I will not be holding my breath :P
Yes, the barrel indexing was corrected, and because it raised such a stink I will not say anymore about it other than it is now correct. My method was almost identical to the method posted by the good Captain.
Getting to be the second person to fire it, the first away from Faz I did have a very large grin when I saw the group in the spotting scope. :D
I've seen these rifles go for various prices. Wrapped ones from $500.00 to $1000.00+ !! I have seen unwrapped but unissued ones go as high as $750.00.
I traded a unwrapped, unissued one for a wrapped one as I am a collector, not a shooter who has a collection of rifles. From some of the previous posts, a few people seem to be confused as to the difference. I do in fact shoot many of my rifles, I just don't feel the need to shoot ALL of them.
JBS... I'm happy to hear you sorted out that index issue. I remember being one of the first to caution this procedure... as your now obvious skills hadn't shone through yet ;)
