I'm a throwback on a lot of stuff, and I'll just tell you that stripping all the "stuff" off your rifle is history washing down the drain. Clean it, stop the rust, if any, and clean the stock with Murphy's Oil Soap, no water, and tee shirts. Oil with RLO or BLO, (monthly debates on this subject), and hand rub in. Sand paper does not exist in my gun room...... :cool:
