YEA,
I figured that out as I was driving up to the post office after my reply.
First and last block.
Cheers,

About April 1944 for your serial number Gunner at the end of production. Is the rear sight stamped on the right side with an H inside a shield? If so it would most likely be original to the receiver. The Underwood barrel would most likely have a date on it of 3-44 or 4-44. The price with all of the extras is an excellent price over here. Good luck with it if you do get it.
Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the reply. The rear side has an letter but i dont remember it, have to look at the next time. The barrel has the U.S.-Ordnance Bomb but the date is very weak to see. so i couldnt see is it 43 or 44. I will take pictures the next time i see it and add them here.
Ruth estimates late (last month) production, April 1944. Harrison estimates January 1944. I don't have War Baby. Figure sometime in early 1944 unless better data to the contrary.
Sorry for the redundant post - I didn't notice the second page of replies when I posted. Senior moment.
Do yourself a favor and ignore anything in the Harrison book. Its got more errors than Carter has liver pills!
