im not sure you have a problem at all mate. In response to the geneva and the earlier hague conventions which prohibit expanding bullets being used on humans in war, the brittish designed tumbling bullets. These met the regulations of the conventions while also being more destructive. They did this by making a bullet with compressed paper in the nose instead of all lead under the full metal jacket. Ill bet that if you cut one of your problem bullets that you will find it has a paper core in the nose. Let me know how you get on.

Update: this past weekend I finally got to try out some ammo I loaded. I have not mic-Ed the bullet, but is the 150 gr flat base, spritzer made by hornady and claim to be .312. After figuring out how to replace the batteries on my friends mic I'll check that. Anywho, those loaded over 40 & 42 gr of RL 15 (5 rounds each for load work up) made a nice round! These produced minute of pie plate (or head of silhouette) at 100 yards. The 42 gr load was a little better. Will continue work on this load. I have been using a bore foam and continuously cleaning the bore. Nonetheless something made them shoot straight, and accurate all things considered, especially the 15 or so mph wind and the 20 something degree temp, something I am not used to. Someone can tell me if I am wrong, however I believe that this eliminates the problem as being in the crown and possibly throat as I didnt seat them that far out (to cannelure) Thank you all again for your input. I will have to say the idea of being hit by a bullet traveling sideways at upwards of 2000 fps gave me pause to think of those milsurp bullets as a wild boar defense round. Especially since they are still hitting target at 100 yards too. Dern British were dastardly ruthless.

I forgot to add the usual caveat: the load data just mentioned, although from a loading manual should be researched on ones one for safety in you gun. I make no recommendations for this load to anyone else. So don't use my load without researching it yourself! Sorry, forgot about all that legal stuff of these days.
