It could be an M1 ? need to enlarge the photo. The M7 Grenade Launcher was standardtized on March 5, 1943, two months before the photo - could be possible !
I showed this picture to my Dad and he said it looked like him standing next to truck facing camera. Have you any information on this picture. He was in the 82nd 505th. Landed in Casablanca May 10th. Jumped into Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Holland. Went through Bastogne, Siegfried Line, and Losheimergaben.Germany.
