valleysniper: No, there isn't a serial number on the scope - only what was shown in the pictures. With it being so difficult to find rings for ir, I'm almost thinking of just keeping it as a collectible. If your friend is willing to part with the rings, and the price is reasonable, I might be interested in buying them. Since the old eyes aren't what they used to be, I removed the 4X scope from the rifle and put on a 3-9X. I went out Saturday and burned up 550 rounds to prove a problem I was having was the old ammo I was using and not the rifle itself. Again, my thanks to all who responded to my thread.
