You're not nit picking, you're being properly formative. And, I appreciate a person that politely informs me, correctly, about some technical item, with clear examples of the difference, in this case in the style of the threads, and the correct nomenclature.

You should always correct something that isn't proper, particularly to me, because I always want to increase my knowledge, properly, about my firearms and my hobby. I was on another web site, sometime back, that called square threads, Acme threads, but without properly exhibiting the difference between the two, as you did.

It's a poor day when you don't learn something proper on this web site. Thank you...

i stand corrected, wasnt real sure, but iv heard old timers call them that, i always called the square threads.
