Well, the replacement barrel came and is on the rifle ready to be test fired. The barrel condition is not great, with some frosting towards the end, so I am not sure how it will shoot. But I think I will try it before I look for another. It was not expensive, so I can afford to experiment.
Was looking on the web and found a website that was proclaiming the benefit of a .303 with the shoulder blown out, the .303 Epps. Wondered if that would be a possibility for my barrel with the rust/wear at the shoulder. Has anyone made up a rifle in .303 Epps?
