Mint S'G'

For one the sight looks counterfeit to me. There is beat marks on the sight that would indicate it has been at least moved if not replaced (forget the finish match). It could be the light or the way the photo was taken but it doesn't look real to me. I've not seen an Inland barrel on an S'G' that has that much "Inland" hieroglyphics on it and the wear on it doesn't match the wear on the rest of the carbine. The slide has no wear where the receiver does. I've been wrong about finishes before but it doesn't look right to me. The finish between the barrel and receiver isn't even close. Not a hard fast indicator but..... Sorry, it just doesn’t look right to me.

USGI, the bolt rear end looks really bad in the one photo that shows the rear sight.

PS yes it could have had the hammer from the gate doubtful but yes.

I only have one S'G' that I think is fairly original to compare it to. Mine does have the numerous and unknown proofs all over the under side of it. Mine also has a 3 stamped in the same place as this ones I . I pretty sure the only parts changed out on my 3.58 are the rear sight and hammer. Anyway, I am skeptical of the carbine in question also.
The rear sight appears to be real to my eye, but that doesnt mean much. As I understand it, the bases were finished at different times than the reciever(except Inland), so the rear sight being a lighter finish isnt a factor.

how many of you have the cross cannon cartouche like it has with the rockola split flame at top and the square box cannon butts?

The cartouche was what caught my eye the most. I have seen that one before on a humped up gun that I asked one of the more senior guys about and he told me to stay away. I don't have an S'G' but I do have an IP and this is its stock below.
The finishes just don't seem to match on any of that S'G'. Looks to be done with mostly correct parts to me, but before I would spend big money I would ask on that one. I almost screwed up last week on a UW before one of the more knowledgeable guys said back off on that one.
I sat and looked at it for a while then it caught my eye what was wrong. Now the bidder who bought the UW is the high bidder on this one. He bids up a lot of items but buys very few. ( thanks to pointing that out to me also! )
I would steer clear of this one myself.
