Rockola's are sky high- go for it!
The serial # is 217,000 range. I think this carbine has a Rock Ola Recoil Plate but it's an Inland with Inland barrel. Still worth $350 or so?
Yes still worth $350 easy.
The last Rock Ola's I saw for sale were through SOG, the Israeli imports they're selling, and they were going for $895.00 I believe. I paid $600.00 for mine, a mixmaster a year or so ago. For $350.00? Is a gun to the seller's head part of the process? That's dirt cheap, even for one with import marks.
Well I did buy the carbine but it's not a Rock Ola, it has a Rock Ola recoil plate, it's a standard products 2,193,143
There are no import marks, This really looks like an arsenal rebuild that came home just like it is. He also had 3 WWII magazines fulled loaded with WWII era cartridges, one magazine marked SY-B, one marked IU, one marked UU.
The neighbor across the street found this rifle in the closet when her husband died, they didn't know it was in there, these loaded magazines were in the closet too. She offered it to the elderly man I bought it from, anyway......
Here are some details. Inland barrel dated 8-44 and it's a nice bore. Not worn out at all.
Stock is M2 Inland IO stamped. Has a very faint cartouche you can barely see now. RIA EB stamping.
Barrel Band marked KI Type III
Slide marked U with circle
trigger housing marked SG
Barrel Sight marked N
Magazine release marked M with little WA underneath
Dogleg marked WA
Bolt marked IO
I also found the bomb symbol on the trigger housing part
Will try to post some photos tonight.
Looking forward to the pics.....Frank
Here are the photos.

Graystone, nice carbine. You did good, deals like that don't come around ever day. It's a mix master with a good mix of parts.
Could you post a pic of whare the hammer falls on the top left side of the trigger housing?
If that ammo is WW2 dated I would save it and not shoot it. How are the springs in the mags holding up?
Congrats.....Frank
P.S. does he have some more guns for sale? If so PM me his address and phone number
S'G' trigger housing, nice trading material for later.
I'll keep this one together. I don't think it's been monkeyed with since it left the arsenal but I could be wrong, I'm just learning about the carbines. Here are a more photos of where I believe the hammer hits the top of the trigger housing. I probably won't shoot up the WWII ammo, magazine springs seem to be OK.
