Get a set of steel, Millett Angle-Loc, windage adjustable rings. They make them in both 1" and 30mm. They make life easy because the charger bridge was never intended as a central scope mounting reference point and you can centralize the scope on zero. This is real important if you want the full run of deflection, especially if you're using an inexpensive scope that doesn't have allot of adjustment to start with. You can get them at Brownells.
Thanks Brian. I will order them today. looks like the Millett Angle-Loc smooth 1" Low Weaver Rings will do the job. Then again, I am a newbie when it comes to all these different mounting systems - sheesh, something else to learn...
Following on this topic, I mounted the Fulton's scope mount to my restored 1941 Long Branch and slapped on a cheap (well, all my money went on the scope mount, didn't it!) Tasco scope. I am now getting 1" groups at 100 yards (seated using a sandbag as a rest), and I am sure that the group size can be decreased with improved shooting skills on my part and some experimentation with a Hornady .312 bullet and a better scope. Range report at some time in the near future, along with a range report for a 1942 Long Branch with NZ-service markings, after I recover from a surgery (nothing serious, but it'll stop me shooting for about 2 months - wait a minute, that IS serious!!).

spinecracker, as your shooting 100 yards and If you can fit in before the surgery, have a go at the Milsurp comp/shoot go to the" Range Reports- show us how good you are" forum at the top in a sticky details on the comp etc.Quote:
