Not made it to Beltring for a couple of years now but the Fez is still going when I ned to be spotted froma distance by the vertically challenged wife. One day she will realise I can take it off....

BESA uses a non-disintegrating belt, usually lightweight cloth with aluminum pockets attached. Probably intended for one-time use only. Most encountered today are rotted and tear easily.
Metallic ZB37 belts also can be used.

Nice to see you here Mike and hope all is well. There are still a few of the "old bunch" around, and nice to see them active on some of the groups.
PS: Mike has probably forgotten more on classic MG's than most people have learned in a lifetime....
