IMO, $900 is a good deal, but you will probably never find an original floor plate. I haven't looked recently, but in the past I've seen these go for $1500 and up.

According to their website they are made as shooters. No where do they recommend that you do not shoot it. They say that they are made with superior materials to the originals and even have videos of them shooting them. Vintage Ordance

The website is completely different from when I visited it last (3 years ago). I'm almost positive that they stated that the firing pin hole was not drilled thru. Maybe they made some changes...
I think they call this a solution to a non-existent problem.
