Is that the one I traded off to you Warren? Looks MUCH nicer now if it is.

I'm sure that the CGB as relating to the UK has been proved incorrect since it was first mooted many years ago Warren. Just take the Canadian Mk1A telescope VOCAB number as a good example. GB never contracted for or ordered or even accepted a Mk1A telescope variation and no designation appears in the 1947 VAOS lists so the CGB couldn't/wouldn't relate to the UK in this case. We DID draw up and design a Mk1/1 and a 2/1 tele (Mk1 and 2 with Mk3 drums of course). I have read that there are many other examples of webbing and Bren stuff with this CGB prefix that has no relevance to the UK.
No doubt that there'll be other ideas from the forumers too
:madsmile:Only if it's got FR stamped on it Pete.
I'd really appreciate some more info is this is incorrect. During the data collection of the Canadian FRT tables the CGB was stated as Contract Great Britain in the List of Contracts Awarded of War Supplies and Stores 1939 - 1943. (No other years were available)
