BES still make both the MkV1 and MkV11 bullets in the UK don't know the cost but I can certainly locate a number for them if anyone needs it.

Really a couple of million bullets sounds A LOT, but it's not in actual fact. I think most folks would buy a couple of thousand at least. So that's only 500 people needed, even without the general market out there for 303 from folks who have a variety of milsurps including some 303's. Question is, what would be the price?

i dont think they will work well unless you have a unfired lee enfield :lol: best accuracy i get is with a cast bullet my mold is a 220gr(throws 210gr) .316 mold(this was a .313 mold that i had him make to the diameter i wanted its best to size it to throat diameter) from CBE in AUS i can get at least 2" at 100 yards on a good day with my no 4 mk 1 long branch im going to buy his 180gr in the same shape soon

They make both flat based 174 and 215 grain .303. I have tested some of the 174 in a No.4(T) and it shoots slightly better than Sierra MatchKing. They bullets are virtually hand made on a single stage press. Cost is £20 per 50. If you have a cordite shot barrel these bullets could probably extend barrel life by another 1,000 - 1,500 rounds. They shoot very well to 200 yards - not tested them further than that but I won a 200 yard McQueen's sniper comp using them. 48ex 50 with a 4" bull.
They have just started to make the original round nosed profile 160 grain 6.5mm. Shot some in my Swedish M/41B sniper and at 100 yards they shot to 0.36".
Anyone tried these? Does anyone know what the bullet diameter is?

Note the more defined taper and less bearing surface than the aftermarket projectiles, this increased bearing surface and softer metal are what combats the old throat erosion stories.
Heres a page from Sierra on BTvFB in .30 cal, remember this problem of throat erosion is applicable right across the board, not just confined to cordite, just a tad more noticable because of the rapidity of the onset with old Military ammo.

Though this article does not deal with throat erosion as such, it does bring it all back to barrel condition, our problem is that we don't want to despoil our collectables, but still want match grade accuracy, the unachievable without rebarreling......bugger.
