Fear not, I have seen loads of 'M-metres' drums without the letter M. If it has 60 clicks between 1 and 10, then it is a .303" YARDS drum. IF it has 48 clicks between 0 and 10, then it is a 7.62mm M-metres range scale. If you're worried about it, just get the little M engraved

Frankly, if it turns out to be a 48 click scale, I'd just leave it as it is. As we all now know, never say 'never' & never say 'always' with Lee Enfields!

Yes Just checked and you are spot on at 48 clicks between 1 - 10 and yes will keep it as one of the rare unmarked meter dial scopes
