If you bothered to look yourself at the GB auction, which I did not know about before seeing mentioned here, you would see it is for sale starting at $5,000.00 with no bids and has a serial # of 5,324,649, and is from a seller in Elmhurst, Ill.
SO to answer you last question yes it must be a coincidence beyond all belief because I and my Garand reside in Florida , and have no ties at all to Illinois .
Plus my Garand is as stated several times before has a serial number over SIX MILLION.
I think we all can let this one rest now as all your nit picking must be over by now, Right?? Thanks for your help , you are a credit to this forum.

Calif-Steve nailed it tank78z your asking two questions 6million serials are supposed to be worth more & NM are suppose to be worth more & nobody can tell anything with out pics. If I wanted to find out value in todays market I'd take a bunch of pics post it for sale make offer and see what people are willing to pay

Indeed the 6 millions are their own field as are the NM's. Condition and PROOF are critical. The paperwork is very important and guys like mint/near mint NM's. You should see the looks I get when I show off my used NM 03! I got feelings too! Anyhow, I hope some of this stuff helps you. Good luck.

There are two N.M. M1s currently on G.B. You are looking at the wrong one. The one I posted is indeed a 6 mil N.M. ( 6099557), the seller is from Richmond Texas. Nice rifle but stands very little chance of a bid without many more good clear pictures of critical areas of the rifle.
