possible dumb question, no.4 vs. no.5 micro sights

I just grabbed a no.4 Mk2 for a nice price and it obviously has the 1300 milled micro. so problem solved. well, other than figuring out how to zero at 100 yards lol.

Generally the 100 yd zero is about 2-3 clicks below "2".

Because that's how your chart is laid out! The match is at "8". Therefore it follows that the baseline was set there. Otherwise, set the baseline at "2" for both sights.

JM, I still cannot see your point about the 800yd zero.

My conversion chart is simply intended to show the settings on the 800yd sight where the datum line matches the elevation marks on the 1300yd sight, taken from actual measurements of both types of sight. The DATUM LINES on the sights just happen to match at the 800yd mark.


Shooters will still need to shoot their own rifles at whatever range they choose, and make a note of their POA for given sight settings. This would always be the case for any modern ammunition which doesn't match Mk7 ballistics.

All of the dozen or so 800yd sights I have will go 10 clicks below 200.

1300yd sights 1 or 2 clicks below 200.
