I wrote it above...Command Europe. Used to be called SHAEF.
Alot of guys that served at the end of WW II and got out were drafted again for Korea. that is probally the reason he has WW II and Korean service ribbons. the hash marks on the sleve mark years overseas and time in service currently the long yellow ones mark 3 years of service foe each one. the short ones mark 6 months overseas. it is odd that he is not wearing a patch on th eright sleve to mark his Korean or WW II unit.
It's possible that he stayed in and just stayed in the same unit...I know that's rare in the U.S. but possible...Quote:

according to the lettuce on his chest he was in before WW2 and in Korea. That spans at least 14 years of service and if he maintained his Master Sargent rank it's very possible he was in the rear with the gear. And his SHAEF time was probably his last duty station. Oh it's definately Army. The Marines never did the Ike jacket.
