There's also a practice round for the 7.62x54R that's loaded with the 85gr projectile from the 7.62x25 cartridge. Indoor/short range use I reckon.
VH, If you get a chance can you show the head stamp, that's a very odd round. I can find no reference anywhere. I bet 7.62+54r.net would love to learn of this cartridge, I assume its surplus,it's my go to place and he don't have it.
Never mind found it... It's Czech.. I should have more patience..:)
Czechoslovakian 1964 7.62x54r Hollow Core Short Range, they made it in 7.62 x 39 as well.

The .310" dia. 123 gr. Prvi Partizan bullets are designed for the 7.62 x 39 but will work in the Mosin if you have a .310" to .312" groove bore. Lyman #49 manual has load data using the Sierra .311" 125 gr. SP you can use that data with the Prvi bullet. I've shot them in my Mosin M44 will good success.
Depending on the powder and charge weight MV will run in the 2800+ fps range. My M44 with a .312" groove bore like the .311" dia. jacketed bullets best, never tried the .310" bullets so not sure how good accuracy will be.
I use the .311 175 gn privi bullets in the winchester 1895 russsian ,and they work very well
load 27 gn vihta N 110 ,it gives a mild load and a grouping at 100 m
have ordered the hornady .312 RN 174 gn RN to test with same load
greetings from over the pond and till next time
