You could be right Jim, the slot is all buggered up "not from me" I'll try something with better leverage then the M10.

I ran into that stringing problem with my M1A and the culprit was a loose gas plug. Now I check it as well as the M1's every couple times to the range.

A combination of grease and using an old S shaped screwdriver did the trick. Shot a WW2 3 gun match this morning and it's still tight...:)

Replacement cylinder screws are cheap, if it's bunged-up, just replace it.

I hear ya I will, it's one of those things I forget about til I use the rifle. Another item on the mental shopping list....
