I have seen "A2" both scribed and stamped. If the rifle was still in military condition, it might be worth something. Of course, when they were used as sub-caliber firing devices, they didn't have stocks. I saw one offered several years ago that still had the adapter on it that allowed it to fit inside the cannon.
Slightly off-topic, but they also used Krags as subcaliber firing devices on seacoast guns. I have a box of ammunition for a Krag sub-caliber device that was used on a 3" coast defense gun.
