Looks like the majority of the rifle is a 1942 Ishapore, with possibly 1954 Ishapore FTR.
Bit of a visible gap between barrel and breech ring, so I'm guessing its actually 180o under-indexed to make it line up. CHS should be interesting...

I was actually wondering when you'd notice this one Peter. I'd love to be standing in the back when someone handed this one to you for examination..."Here, what do you think"?
And if it was me, I'd have turned a bit off the shank to make it come TDC and back far enough. It just won't as issued. It can be changed.
