I know nothing about this ammo manufacturer. Pic #3 almost looks like a roll crimp - not good in .30 carbine that headspaces on the case end. And nowhere does it say this ammo is non-corrosive, or even boxer primed. If the bullets are cheap copper washed lead I think one can assume the powder and primers are not really grade A quality. I wouldn't buy it for the value of the projectiles. JMHO
That's a taper crimp die used in a progressive press like Dillon. Two pics show what appears to be a slight gathering of bullet jacket at the case mouth. This stuff might not work very well.Quote:

In one picture, it looks like there is an upside down primer, also.
I'll bet the primer thing is just the light reflection on the primers.
I see 4 in the first photo that appear to have upside down or missing primers but it may be the light and angle causing them to look that way.
It's been at least 10 years since I last shot any of this ammo but I don't remember seeing any cases with the A-MERC head stamp back then. It was either recycled commercial or military brass. I've seen WW, R-P, FC, Speer, Hornady and military cases all mixed together in one box.
I tried some 9mm, .45 ACP, 38 SPCL, 30 carbine and .223. All but the 223 was loaded with plated bullets and accuracy was awful with the 30 carbine. The bore was lead lined after the first and only 15 round mag I shot. Had a couple cylinder lock ups with the .38 SPCL from bullets jumping under recoil. The 45 ACP just wouldn't feed, may have done better with a ramped barrel. The 9mm functioned ok although it felt weak. The best of the lot was the .223, It gave good accuracy out of a Howa 1500 Varmint. It chambered fine, fired primers looked normal, extraction was smooth. It may not've did so good out of an AR or Ruger Mini but I can't complain about it's performance in the bolt gun. A buddy had some bad experiences with some 32 ACP once, a squib round left the bullet stuck in the bore.
It all looks like re-loads and that would follow considering the taper crimp evidence. I've found the wash bullets to be so much tripe also.Quote:

Given the general consensus re the materials and assembly, it kind of makes you wonder why this ammo (re)manufacturer apparently is not too concerned about product liability. This sounds like a tragedy and a lawsuit waiting to happen. I appreciate the heads-up on this ammo.
