Peter I thought you would have learnt never question the decisions the higher ups make! :D as we all know the only real people who know the score are those at the coal face.
Gads for them to make a decision to have it made right down to the material begs questioning given the modern stuff we can produce today.:dunno:
I am not being a wally just I see it time and again in my industry in some instances the higher ups miss the mark somewhat.
We have had the bean counters strike here at our range with the ADF who actually own our range but tolerate us having buildings on it we have a nice big club house with all the niceties and allot of shooting history dating back to I think 1880's for our region in the Southwest, we used to charge them a certain peppercorn fee I mean the buildings are there to be used and we do have a caretaker on the range 24/7.
Buuuuuut the bean counters think it is better they pack up move every one 26klms back to the depot and back again 26klms so they lose valuable on the range training by packing, unpacking and travel time and if you equated what we charge the Army into acorns it would feed a squirrel for its entire 3 lifetimes.
Mind you they would be very experienced packing and unpacking their kit......................................'ang on a mo' just gotta unpack me weapon so I can join the fray!
