some problems with the rolling block
I believe there were two problems with the Remington rolling block action. the first problem was loading the long range Sharps cartridges, you had to grind out part of the hammer in order to chamber the cartridge. The longer range Sharps cartridge were used on both buffalo and the target range. The second problem was the very heavy trigger pull which was difficult to shoot with. The Remington set trigger or custom double set triggers were a lot better to use.
I would think that the Sharps, the Sharps Borchardt and Winchester Hi Wall were all better riflesAttachment 58012Attachment 58013Attachment 58014
